Pins & Needles: Bad Decisions Returns October 1 in Ridgewood

Pins & Needles: Bad Decisions is back on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 9:00 PM at Pixelated Records, 792 Onderdonk Ave, Ridgewood, New York City. The show is free and 21+. Four comedians do stand-up, then the audience's own decisions get read out loud and talked through on stage. The show is produced by stand-up comedian Taylor Drew, who created Pins & Needles Comedy and hosts every week. RSVP at Partiful.

Who is on the bill

This week's lineup, as printed on the flyer, includes Mustafe Mussa, Nick Marmor and Patrick Haggerty, plus a fourth comic on the bill. Four sets, about an hour of stand-up, before anyone at the show gets an opinion about your life. That order matters. By the time a comic weighs in on a choice you made, you have watched them talk for fifteen minutes and you know exactly who you are dealing with.

How the decision part works

An hour before the show, a form opens. Scan the code in the room and send in a decision. It can be one you already made or one you are still turning over. A single line works. The whole story works too.

Taylor Drew pulls two or three at random. If yours comes up, you get a mic where you are sitting. You do not have to stand up, you do not have to perform, and there is no moral waiting at the end of it. Some of the best ones are people defending a choice everybody else in their life has already voted against. Some of them are people who know it was a mistake and just want to hear four strangers say it out loud.

You can also send nothing and watch. That is a real option. Most of the room does it.

The room

Pixelated Records is a record shop on Onderdonk Ave in Ridgewood. The flyer says good music, bad ideas, which is roughly the arrangement. Show starts at 9:00 PM. Come a bit before that if you want a seat and time to fill out the form. It is free, so the best thing you can do for the show is actually turn up.
