Pins & Needles Comedy Is Looking for Local Scotland Comedians for Edinburgh Fringe
There are comedy shows where the lights come up, someone grabs a mic, and the night behaves exactly how you expect it to.
Pins & Needles Comedy is not that show.
This August, Pins & Needles Comedy is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, bringing its tattooed, stripped-down, black-ink-and-bad-decisions energy to The Raging Bull from August 6th through August 18th at 10:15 PM.
Hosted by Taylor Drew and Justin Hartmann, the show has built its name around a simple, loud premise:
Tattooed comics strip down for stand-up.
No nudity. No lazy shock value. No dusty showcase energy.
Just sharp comics, visible tattoos, branded showwear, and a room that looks as alive as it sounds.
Now, as we get ready for Fringe, we are looking for local Scotland comedians to perform with us during the run.
We Want Scotland Comics on the Show
Edinburgh Fringe brings performers from everywhere, but the festival does not belong only to the people flying in with posters and panic attacks. It belongs to the comics who know Scotland, know the rooms, know how fast the festival moves, and know how to get an audience to pay attention when every wall in the city is screaming for it.
That is who we want.
We are looking for comics based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, and across Scotland who want to be part of a show with a real visual identity and a clear point of view.
You do not need to have a giant credit list. You do not need to look like anyone’s idea of a “Fringe comic.” You need to be funny, reliable, and able to hold a room.
Tattoos help. A strong look helps. A distinct stage presence helps.
But the real requirement is this:
You have to be able to do stand-up that cuts through the noise.
What Pins & Needles Comedy Is
Pins & Needles Comedy started in New York City as a stand-up show built around tattoo culture, live comedy, and the kind of visual world that makes a room feel less like a basement showcase and more like a poster someone should have stolen off the wall.
The comics perform in branded showwear so their tattoos become part of the stage picture. The show is funny first, but the look matters. The bodies matter. The ink matters. The whole room becomes part of the bit before anyone even says a word.
It is part comedy show, part tattoo flash sheet, part underground night out.
At Fringe, we are bringing that format to Edinburgh.

Who Should Submit

Submit if you are:
-
Based in Scotland or already performing at Edinburgh Fringe
-
Available between August 6th and August 18th
-
Comfortable joining a tattoo-forward, visually styled comedy show
-
Funny enough to justify the lighting

-
Not boring
You do not have to be covered in tattoos, but the show is built around tattoo culture and body-forward performance, so you should understand the world you are stepping into.

This is a show with a look, a premise, and a pulse.

Why We’re Booking Local Comics
A festival show should not feel like it was dropped into a city without touching the ground.
We want Scotland comics in the room because local comics bring the thing no imported lineup can fake: timing, instinct, texture, and a real relationship to the place.
Pins & Needles Comedy is coming to Edinburgh with the robes, the ink, the underwear, the mic, and the mess.
Now we need the right comics standing under the lights.
Local Scotland comedians, send your stuff.
